Come sail away...

Well, the so called sail that was supposed to happen on Saturday ended up not happening. Here we had been worried about the wind not blowing enough and then the rain came. Not to fear, plan B went into to full effect! Nothing was going to rain on our parade!

5 on Friday II

Happy Friday friends!! WOOHOO! I have wanted this week to fly by and it sort of did.

Today I am linking up with several lovely ladies for 5 on Friday!
#1. Tomorrow is the big day I will finally get on a sail boat! It is something I have always wanted to do, they look so majestic! I'm just hoping the winds are amazing and the rain holds off! 

#2. I will be sailing with these ladies and I couldn't be happier!

We have a whole day/night planned out!
#3. Plastic mason jar! Greatest invention EVER!

I have quite the collection of these now! I just cannot get enough! Think adult baby bottle!
#4. Lana Del Ray! I have been listening to her for awhile, but she is now making a bigger presence here in the States. You might recognize her from "The Great Gatsby"  soundtrack and most recently for the track below! LOVE!

#5. I wish I could rewind back to last weekend! I'm missing these beautiful mermaids so much!!! If you missed the Mermadness post you can read that here!

Morning friends!! It's that time of year again when I journey off to Port Aransas for a super fun weekend with my best girlfriends from high school!! We always have the best time together at the beach and at Bernies! To read last years recaps you can check those out here and here!

4th of July Weekend Update!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!

We spent the 4th at the beach!! It was a beautiful day outside!

We watch the Freedom over Texas fireworks every year and this year was no exception! 

Friday I had to work! BORING, I know!

After work I headed to Kingwood to spend some time with my cousins! 

We had the best time hanging out and playing!

Seth heard I had a blog, so I promised him I would post this little chipmunk picture.

So cute!!

The rest of the weekend was spent on a little yard work, relaxing and the movies!

Getting to know the Heights - Good Dog Hot Dog

I started a series a couple of months ago called "Getting to know the Heights". Today I'm going to showcase a food truck that is no stranger to this blog!  Good Dog  Everything is made fresh! The dogs, the bread, condiments, etc.  This really is the best hot dog you will ever find!! We normally love to catch them on Friday's at Antidote or Sunday's at Buchanans! Now everyone will be able to visit them when they open their first restaurant!! Their new location will be 903 Studewood (formerly the Big Mamou)!    We seriously love them and are so excited for their newest adventure!!!

You can customize a good dog or you can try some of their featured dogs! 

And don't forget to add a few sides!!
