Don't rain on my parade weekend!

If you were in the Houston area on Saturday evening/night, then you you know how much crazy rain we got, like for real!! Storming Norman!! However, the rain did not stop me from having a great time, it just gave me an awesome car wash, haha!

 1. - 6. Baby shower for one of my best friends in Austin. We had the best time!!!

She got so many cute baby things!!

 7. & 8. Birthday dinner for another one of my best friends! We tried to stay out of all the crazy rain! Had a fun time playing with Charlie too!

9. & 10. Green Thumb Sunday!! I just know this plant is going to start blooming, counting down the days! We also took the bikes out for lunch and a nice ride around the area.

Life's a Beach

You know it really it sometimes. I'm so glad Friday is here, I have had a pretty rough week.  I won't go into all the details, but it has not been a very happy week for me. Which is fine because I get to start all over with a new week next Monday. Woohoo! Anyways, I cannot be that sad about it all, because today is FRIDAY! I'm trying to be positive!!
I'm excited to shower one of my best friends tomorrow with super cute little baby boy items!! This will be a fun shower with all of my high school friends! It will also be a very nice/short little get away to the ATX. This will be good because there is something about that place that helps me forget my troubles, but also reminds me of my allergies!  Whatev, I'll take it! lol
I'm also looking forward to celebrating a birthday with another best friend here in Houston.  It will be a nice little evening with some great friends, super yummy food and drinks! 
I also have a very exciting trip coming up (more on that later), so that is lifting my spirits!
So all in all very exciting times ahead, I can see the light! Sometimes life is just a beach.
And speaking of a beach, that is exactly where I wish I was at right now.......if only! Haha Happy Friday friends and sorry for my rant!

Getting to know the Heights - Houston Dairymaids

Happy hump day friends!!  Today I will be starting a new series on my blog called "Getting to know the Heights". I get a lot of emails about restaurants, shops and things to do in the Heights area and I can't think of a better way to highlight some of my favorite places to visit! 
Today I'm doing a feature on Houston Dairymaids!

One of my favorite places to buy cheese from is Houston Dairymaids. The first time Greg and I ever visited this place was years ago when they first opened their doors. I remember there was a huge line wrapped around the building and I thought all of the cheese was going to be gone before we made it inside. Silly me, there was still a ton!  We thought it was so cool that they had so many local/Texas cheeses!! Even better, you get to sample some cheeses as well as some other yummy snacks! Our favorite cheese we got that day was a cheese made with beer!! YUM! They still sell that cheese today and it's called Redneck Cheddar.
This place is super cute!!  Everyone who works here knows a lot about cheese and are very friendly!

A Weekend away in the ATX!

Hello!! Happy Hump Day everyone, I'm just now posting about my weekend!! Better late than never right?! I still feel like I am recovering from this weekend. Every morning this week it has been so hard to get up and get going.  All I want to do is sleep in, but when the weekend comes I'm up at some stupid early time....UGH! Does this happen to anyone else?
Friday I made my way up to Austin to see my family!

Saturday I made my way to my friend Tiffany's house. 

We had a great time catching up and then we were off to celebrate this beauty right here's birthday! We went downtown for dinner and then headed to the W to party!
