Sunday was my first day in I don't know how many weekends that I could do whatever I wanted. Sleep in, laundry, pack for my trip, watch a lot of TV, etc. Well before lunch my stomach started to hurt really bad so I laid down to at least check one thing off my list, TV. I got to see the man that jumped from space (crazy cool). After a few more hours my stomach did not feel any better so I tried for a nap and that did not work. I got up for some soup and then laid back down again. Nothing seemed to work and all I could see was my wonderful free day passing by. Even the Texans lost :(
Fast forward to about 8pm when I started to become sick every way possible (sorry ladies and gents). I felt horrible... I was so sick I could not get comfortable, had a fever and chills. I was sick throughout the night and did not even sleep. To make matters worse I had to peel myself out of bed at 6:30, go to work, pack my car for the conference and drive to Bryan. Now I have made it to functions after a night of having a lot of fun, but this was on another level. It's what sick days are for, but there is no one here to really cover me. I somehow made it to Bryan set everything up, checked in to my hotel and then, made it back to work the booth from 5-9pm. Because standing and talking was exactly what I needed to do.....ugh. Did I mention that I was so disoriented that I left all of my money at home in Houston? I hit the bed hard after the conference.
So after 2 days of hell, I did what any person on a work trip would do. I ordered room service!
Although I could only eat South Texas, it was super yummy and exactly what I needed to get me going for a new day.
I'm still not 100% and I'm having bad after effects from this thing. Probably because I pushed myself to work and had to go to this conference to work even more. Not like I really had a choice, no one ever said...don't go. That's a whole other story though, lol. However I'm a baller and made it happen! I really hope I start feeling better before my trip! At least I want to eat a little, so I guess that's a good sign! I'm getting really excited about my trip and I cannot wait to share it all with you when I get back! Pray that I feel better and have a great week friends!
