In a couple of weeks I will be here!
I will be spending the weekend with 2 of my cousins who are sisters. Michele lives in Virginia and Sarah lives here in the Houston area. This vacation could not come at a better time! I'm looking forward to sightseeing, shopping, seeing some "real fall" and spending some much needed time with my cousins!
I have seen all of the monuments several times...
I have partied in the pentagon....

My most favorite flower ever grows in this area!! LOVE!!
My first trip to the D.C. area was when I was 13 or 14. My dad was a American history teacher before he became a counselor and every summer he would take students and chaperons to D.C. for a little less than a week. I was lucky enough to go one year and it was a great time! In fact it made my history classes a lot easier as I got older, I never really had to study....THANKS DAD! Still to this day I know a ton of random things about presidents, wars and random facts. I told my dad that we were going to go to Georgetown and then for some odd reason I threw in the fact that we would be close to the Potomac. It's weird, I just know these things (go me) without really having to think about it, lol.
This will be my first time going in the fall and we will be visiting the following places!
Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, The national Harbor in Maryland and a few places here and there. If anyone has recommendations I'm all ears!! So excited to get away and play!

How fun!! I have always wanted to go back to D.C. - I went when I was in 8th grade.
ReplyDeleteI <3 DC too!!! Sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun and I can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pics!! We live about 20 miles outside of DC in the burbs! Right now it's muggy but hopefully it'll cool off and the humidity will dry off so it can actually feel like fall again!
ReplyDeleteI love DC! That'll be such an awesome trip, especially in the fall!
