{Guest Post: CoverGirl + Converse}

FALL OBSESSIONS

Hello there! I'm Taylor from CoverGirl + Converse - a fashion/lifestyle blog. I'm so excited to be guest posting for Selena today!

As summer comes to an end and the cool winds of fall are upon us, my style is drawn to darker hues and more comfy-cozy pieces, like soft sweaters, ankle boots, silky scarves, etc. So I put together a little collage for you all including my favorite pieces that are super trendy, comfy, and most of all - fitting for the fall time!

These items don't necessarily go together, they're just a few little things that I'm crushing over right now. Totally love the Wildfox sweater. And how adorable is that little peacoat? So cute.

{Guest Post: Diaries of Do'ers}

Hey gals! I'm Hilary and I hold a small piece of this awesome blogosphere over at Diaries of Do'ers which I started to document me and the hubby's newlywed life and new home adventures. It's turned into a general lifestyle blog involving my love for great deals, decorating successes & failures, furniture flips, and still-newlywed life {ahem, my trial & errors with meal-making}. With the arrival of the cooler seasons just around the corner, I thought I'd share some of my favorite Pinterest-inspired items Fall items that keep the season classy

- it doesn't have to be all orange & black!

Orange is great and all... but it's all about the WHITE pumpkins
to keep things light and bright.

And best of all, you can use them into Thanksgiving

without feeling like you still have HALLOWEEN decorations up.

You can certainly use these as centerpieces - orange just might be too much

but these keep it classy

I love to fill my jars with the fillers from target, but you could use

real cones and nuts as well

Last but not least, this wreath is my fave.

And you can always switch up small details (like removing the little pumpkins)

to use it into other seasons

Of course...if you're dying for some actual COLOR in your home,

you can always resort to the candy corn jar - I do this ever year ;)

Beautiful Brides!

This weekend was a blast! Friday I drove to Austin to celebrate my friend Meredith's Bachelorette party on Lake Travis! We had the best time! We went downtown on Friday night for dinner and fun!! I'll let the photos do the talking!

Saturday afternoon was one of my sorority sisters wedding! It was a beautiful ceremony at the UT Alumni center! We had a fun night celebrating Stacee and Thomas! Love them! Hope they are enjoying Jamaica!

I will be headed back to Austin again tomorrow (I know 3 weeks in a row...this is a record) for a work conference. I have been really enjoying my love affair with the ATX! Houston is home, don't get me wrong, but the inner hippie/music buff/free spirit girl inside has been making her debut and I really miss her!! Oh Austin, look what you are doing to me! With that being said I will then be off to Port A again with my gals after my conference! I promise not to leave you for long, I may have a surprise or 2 so be on the look out!

On my way!!

Happy Friday Friends!! We made it through another week! This weekend is going to be pretty busy, but I'm looking forward to it! I have a bachelorette party and a wedding both in Austin, but for 2 different friends! So there will be lots of CELEBRATING going on!

Pinning Wednesday!!

I'm feeling like fall...sort of. All I keep getting in the mail are clothing magazines! I flip through them and look at the latest sweaters, scarfs, boots and stuff....however here in south Texas we can get our tan on until almost to October! So I have not really bought a lot of fall stuff just yet. I do enjoy the fall colors and the fact that we are getting closer to Christmas!!

I love picnics!! I'm going to try and recreate this in the back yard! My maple tree is always plentiful! A fun fall dinner would be nice with candles!
