Before we settle down in the Heights I decided to check out the all Saints Catholic Church down the road. I normally go to Saint Anne's Catholic Church, but I decided to give this church a go this afternoon. As I sat down I started to admire the traditional church with beautiful murals of saints on the alter, stained glass and the ceiling painted as the nights sky. BEAUTIFUL!!! I sat in peace praying for family, friends and the special needs children in front of me when God called. A women came up to me and said "would you like to do offertory today?" I let her know that I was not a member of this particular church and she answered "Well if your Catholic it's fine and we would love to have you."
I said okay!
I anxiously awaited taking up the gifts, it was my first trip there and I already felt so welcomed and at ease. The readings and gospel were all about God's calling and whether or not we go to him for the big things or the little. The message and being asked to take up the gifts felt so fitting. Although I'm a member of Saint Anne's, I'm interested in learning more about All Saints and the possibility of joining this church. There is nothing better than receiving messages and reminders from God at anytime.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
